Shabco — Paving & Renovation

Paving — done properly, shown openly

A paving job is three jobs. The one you see — laying the pavers. And the two you don't: preparing the base, and sorting whatever runs under it. We do all three and photograph all three.

What we pave

Driveways · courtyards and back yards · patios and braai areas · walkways and side passages. Grey and coloured concrete pavers, laid in herringbone, basket weave or stretcher bond. Cutting-in around trees, manholes and edges done with a grinder, not a guess.

Straight numbers, not "free quote" and silence.

Cape Town market rates for installed paving:

All-in installed (bricks + labour + materials)R390 – R680 /m²
Paving bricksR120 – R200 /m²
LabourR100 – R200 /m²
Sand, cement, edge restraintsR80 – R180 /m²

What moves the number: paver choice (coloured runs ~R15/m² over grey; thicker pavers cost more), access to the site, how much ground preparation your soil needs, and drainage. A typical 60m² driveway lands between R23,000 and R41,000.

PLACEHOLDER: Shabco's own confirmed rate card to replace market ranges once first-job costing is signed off.

Your quote is written, itemised and free. If we find a problem under the ground — a pipe, a soft spot — we tell you before it costs you.

The guarantee

PLACEHOLDER: written workmanship guarantee — term and wording to be confirmed by Shabco before launch. Modelled on the two-year written guarantees used by established local firms.

How the job runs

Five stages, every one photographed: clear and excavate → services and drainage → sub-base and bedding sand → lay and cut → compact and finish.
